21 year old Jennifer Galbraith edits a photograph of herself aged 11 in order to regain a likeness she feels ahs been lost in the intervening 10 years. She transforms the image through actions and materials which reference her own transformation. After a period of 2 days she returns to symbolicly remove the transformed image in recognition of the constant cycles of change and transformation that define her identity.
Stop motion gilm approx 2 mins documenting the process of deconstructing a selection of chosen images pertaining to my own personal identity. One of the aims of this process was to witness the formation of new images adding new layers of meaning to the originals and examining the role of artist as a subject of their own work.
